This two-bedroom home, STR number 0401, offers relaxing mountain stays just a short walk from the charm of downtown Salida. The location offers easy access to local hiking, biking, rafting and kayaking in the Arkansas Valley. The home also offers several bikes guests can use for an easy cruise to downtown Salida via the Monarch Spur Trail which runs right through the backyard! On a sunny day, leave the bikes in town and hike on up Tenderfoot (aka S Mountain) and take in the beautiful views of the valley. On wintery days, enjoy the 20-minute drive back from Monarch Ski Area and cuddle up with a cup of hot chocolate or tea with the cozy wood-burning stove.
The house itself has two bedrooms, each with a queen bed. The large L-sofa also has a fold-out bed, and an additional memory foam double-sized mattress is kept on the premises to assist with additional guests. A large mudroom in the rear of the home offers not only a cozy place to drink your morning coffee and watch the sun rise over Mt. Shavano on a clear morning, but is also a great place to safely store large gear items like bikes, ski gear or rafting gear – depending on your need!
Each bedroom has a desk available where you can setup whatever work-related devices you may need to take advantage of the high-speed internet access. The home also has a fully equipped kitchen for when you feel like staying in and cooking for yourself. A Safeway is conveniently located just 0.3 miles away to grab your ingredients.
Your pets will love the home as well, we just ask a $50 non-refundable pet fee to cover the additional cleaning needed.
